The Warren Group today announced it has made a strategic decision to focus its resources on its expanding and vital Data Solutions division, while repositioning its flagship publications Banker & Tradesman and The Commercial Record to better align with today’s publishing environment.
As part of that refocus, TWG has entered into a strategic agreement with American Business Media LLC, where AmBiz will assume the responsibilities, management, and obligations of TWG’s current custom publishing and events portfolio.
“Over the years, we’ve broadened our operations into many areas and expanded our real estate data collection footprint,” The Warren Group CEO Timothy Warren Jr. said. “We’re proud of all the products we’ve created and the clients we now serve with our wider data collection territories. Providing the nation’s best real estate and mortgage data is our core mission and we are focusing our efforts into strengthening our core.”
American Business Media is a producer of mortgage and banking conferences across the nation. It is led by Vincent M. Valvo, a former group publisher and editor of The Warren Group, who was responsible for the creation of TWG’s custom publishing and events divisions.
“This is a company that understands our specialty business markets, has worked with – and run – state and national trade associations, and we believe is best poised to grow these magazines and B2B events for our association partners,” Warren said.
The decision means that The Warren Group will reduce employment in its custom publishing and events groups. Remaining employees there will concentrate their efforts on the company’s flagship publications, Banker & Tradesman in Massachusetts and The Commercial Record in Connecticut, along with the Registry Review in New Hampshire. Employment in TWG’s Data Solutions group will remain unchanged, and is expected to grow as the company adds new states to its data collection efforts.
